We have great pleasure in announcing the release of the Charted Waters - Australian Fishing Maps iPhone app, now available for download on the App Store.

The app is FREE to download, current subscribers can login with your username and password for immediate access.

Offline Maps

The standout feature of this app is the OFFLINE functionality. This feature makes the app work very fast (we are hopeful the online function will speed up once Australia’s internet is sped up!!) and includes the use of most functions excluding 3D Shaded Relief. The OFFLINE map is stored on your device so if you have no service the map is still visible and your last location and waypoints stored (this will be refreshed once you come back online, any functions that require a connection will not be available ie: weather).

To download an offline map select the desired map from the list and tap the ‘Offline’ tab (maps will download faster when using a wifi connection).

Geo-location

Another great feature is the geo-location button, once activated your location is marked with an orange dot that follows you on the water wherever you go.

Sharing

Sharing your catches has never been easier, not only do you still have the option to add your catch to the bragging board but you can now also share it with your Friends on Facebook and Twitter.

Waterway Tips & Features

Every map also includes Tips & Features with contacts for local guides and tackle stores nearby.

All the functions your used to using in the web app are all available through the iPhone app - Happy Fishing.
